A dead man's tale

I am filled with a burning, hopeless craze
Where do I, dead man, begin your praise?
I light a cigarette with flaming match
And just roam my pen in an idle scratch!
The horizon, no music. Dogs are barking
Away in a dreary and mournful howl
That brings to my tensed face an angry scowl
As I reflect, brooding, on a blank screen
On how to begin, with which 1st scene
Raise the curtain on your finish, hoary
Tragic, terrible, so moving story.

to be continued...

  1. Nicely written....the helplessness, part from an abrupt break in the flow of thoughts, part from lost focus, and part from just a loss for where to begin....

beautifully woven together...waiting for the continuation! :)
